I really don't get this chapter...
Is Mikasa's dream (?!?) an alternative universe? Why is Ymir smiling?
Does every Eldian have this kind of dream, where little things are different qnd change the whole plot?
Wtf?
Can someone please explain it to me?

All Ymir ever wanted was to be loved, to experience it in all it's complexity and raw truth. All she never knew in her life and after P A T H S life was servitude and pain. The two kisses connect both sides of her story - longing and understanding.
Now she finally understands that love is a fucking complicated, weird bitch that could end with you decapitating and making out with your loved one when he tries to genocide the planet.

Mikasa dream was what could have happened if her confession was different. If Eren had kept his humanity and ran away from his destiny and responsibilities
If you look back on chapter 1, there’s a lot of similarities (like the “see you later Eren” and Eren noting that Mikasa’s hair was longer) which leads some to theorize that Eren also saw that alternative reality back then, while others say that Eren was the one to give that memory to Mikasa through paths (explaining her constant headaches)
The ending is good. I really didn't expect an ending this good.
Eren gave everything so that his loved ones could live on. I am crying for him. He went through so much alone.
I just wanted to also point out that I am really glad, that they aren't in a time loop.
It would have been devastating, if Eren just woke up under that tree again and they had to go through everything else again.
And everything he did to traumatize others.
