Although this story makes my blood pressure spike I enjoy reading everyone's complaints. You guys make me feel slightly better after this mess.
This made me laugh. It was ridiculous. The misunderstanding, the flat characters, everything. I guess the message is rape is okay if it from a loved one, but not okay if it from strangers? The acts that were done to this MC and he did not give a shit or reflect on it or bring it up to the ML. I hated how the author just glosses over all these issues and how she makes the rapists (and attempted rapists) appear innocent in their last panels. Siggghhhh I think I am getting too old for yaoi my heart can't take the sexual abuse like it used to. I need me some fluff.

The MC just gained an army of step-parents from the comment section to protect her and flirt with her dad.
I do not like the dad really. Okay recently he has been showing more affection towards his daughter, but honestly, he was a horrible father. Do you think kids only need food and a roof over their heads? No! emotional support and love are important for a child's development. Why the hell could he show soft expressions when talking about his daughter to his disciple and not show an ounce of that to his own daughter as child. Now he is showing it tho?? why? what the fuck changed? I don't want to say it is too late cause I feel better late than never but guess what better early than late! feck why must he be hot.
Another unpopular opinion (I don't want to make people hate me) but the author tried too hard to make the ML edgy. Some of his inner and outer dialogues make me want to barf and dig a hole.
But ending on a positive note, I like the MC and really wish for her happiness. Although the dad is a bad father, we now know he probably cared for her and it does hurt my heart to imagine what he must have felt hearing of her death (a morbid part of me wants t see it and laugh too...hm conflicting).

Thank you for the reply. Honestly, I am not sure how to feel. Mostly still conflicted? I think avoiding your daughter instead of working through it is wrong but it must have also been difficult for him. Maybe if he had tried to smile and talked to her nicely when she got a little older. But thinking that if she never took the first step in talking to him/smiling at him he might have treated her coldly indefinitely is quite depressing. But all in all a relationship goes both ways.
I would be so worried if I had a friend in MC's position. I would try to separate them as well. But damn would I be afraid for my life omg I would go prepare my will just in case.
