I believe it must be a security thing or something, they spent a good amount of time without comments allowed before after the site almost breaking down. I guess they made it possible for us to comment again but to also keep safety.

Yes, they changed some things. The MC's name and appearance, the entity in the doll are different. There is no scene of him being beaten and bullied as a child. The seeker is called the seekers of truth. Those scenes of him entering portals to hunt for ingredients to sell potions also do not exist in the novel. They tried to make it more commercial and left it more generic, I found it weak compared to the novel. I don't even know if this was authorized by the author or if they plagiarized his ideas. I'm almost certain that this is plagiarism, that's why they changed so many small details. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I know it's a short story and the plot is rushed but it's their story. Idk why people complain that much though I'm kinda irked that y'all are comparing this to "Guildmate next door" like the starting premise is similar but both diverge in different way. I mean the personalities are different or "Meeting online is fine" has generic personalities and I think that's okay

i think rather than AI, they may have used like stock models since there were some that are copy pasted. could've also been rushed and/or the assistant took care of it hence a different art style. （￣へ￣）
