He killed the Mom so that our main character would have a reason to go back to him. He was not having it when she said thank you for everything. My boy is desperate for her. One other thing is that I want her turn out fucked up just like him because it would be really interesting to see, and we’ve already got some subtle foreshadowing that she might be a little bit crazy but at the end of the day, that’s when she was a kid and I think a kid killing a bug is not that big of a deal but the way the author is portraying it feels like she might turn out fucked up and I’m saying this because I’m waiting for that moment to happen and I think other people are as well I’m just really astonished that he would kill someone just to have her come back to him. I hope this is a weird romance. It would be really cool.
