less sex more plot for the love of god
Is what I was thinking while reading red candy and some other manga that I now don't remember. Having sex in the story is nice as long as it's enjoyable to read, meaning not just fap material - though some sex scenes have become too repeating and boring to even do that - and more like contributing to the characters' relationship ^_^
I feel like most sex scenes are treated like a necessity in yaoi, even though sometimes the author has nothing to express by them
Also, on a not so different note, bl that don't follow stereotypical tropes I think would be best described by the romance and not the bl genre. Maybe I'm 
saying that cause of how almost duplicating yaoi has become. The tropes are essentially a recipe that is followed. Most bl seem like a product more than anything. Not to say that they are not enjoyable, I have read and I'll probably keep reading a lot.
I think it's like saying that the quality doesn't matter, as long as it is what it is. And while that is a sad 
truth, I occasionally stuble upon manga that truly come from a need to express something. And I wish all manga were like that, cause these are the ones that actually feed our soul.


But maybe I'm exaggerating a little :)
