It was supposed to be getting cloudy at that point. They mention it in passing. Although I don't know how direct of sunlight he needs to react, I think that it wouldn't be cloudy enough.
I suggest you reread it. Looking at it once won't help, its best to look at it twice or even more. Its like looking at a painting. On the surface it may be random , but there may be someting meaningful if you look closer.

I don't really know why people called the main character a slut. I have to say the main character is definitely not a slut. The definition of slut from google is one who has many casual sexual partners. However Asato had only Keiichirou ans the first time they did it was because Asato lost the rent money and if he didn't pay rent there would be no home for him and his sister. The second time was because Keiichirou threaten he would break off the engagement with his sister, and Asato really thinks of.his siters happiness. Why call him a slut when he fell in love wihtg the man, Keiichirou wasn't a casual sex friend. I really don't like it when people use these words without using it properly.
Personally, calling someone a slut annoys me simply because, y'know, people shouldn't judge how other people fuck, yo. I'm lookin' at half the comments and I'm just like "haha, nooooope."

This is a doujinshi, you obviously won't get it. Many of the doujinshi I read is hard to understand especially one of thedoujins artist work whose name i tend to forget...
