I pity him too but for completely different reasons -- his mental wellbeing is unhinged -- and I don't think we should try to justify his actions because he loves her. He can love her and like... not be a crazy, overbearing, manipulative creel

I completely agree .. he also set her up for failure .. the other guy in school and the girl were put in that position because of yul .. he made it so she would become dependent on him .. his mental health was just not good .. i pity him for that reason and that reason only ... his ‘love’ didn’t seem as though it was that ... it seemed as though he just wanted someone to support him and be there and he can have complete control over .. I don’t believe his actions are justifiable though but that’s just my opinion

You misunderstood, I didn't try to justify his actions because it was cleary patological but I also think that she (because her mental health also isn't good) react in wrong way. She should know at this point that he is mantaly ill so she shouldn't treat him like a normal person. In her situation she should call a police but she shouldn't treat him like some demon or dirty insect. (▰˘◡˘▰)

It sounds like you're saying it's her fault things got this way because she continued to treat him as a normal person but 1) she didn't know Yuri was Yul and 2) she's socially awkward to the point where it makes sense that she wouldn't know how to handle Yuri's advances other than the way she did

Her mental stability is entirely separate from Yul's and no matter how she handled the situation his actions would still be his own. I don't think I misunderstood what you're trying to say I think you just wrote it poorly

Yeah Sian couldve called the police and maybe Yul couldve not locked her in and trap her with him when she was clearly struggling. Both characters are mentally unstable, but in no way can u justify Yuls actions then or make it.
