The story really reminds me of "My Guildmate Next Door". Both main characters are gamers and fall for the uke first. Jiha is practically a carbon copy of Jigu—not just in his big, buff appearance but also in how soft and affectionate he is underneath it all. Interestingly, even their pets mirror their personalities: Jigu has a cat, which fits his skittish, slightly aloof charm, while Jiha has a dog, adding to his loyal and playful vibe.

Anime adaptation of Dangerous Convenience Store kinda broke my heart. Ahjuicy went from sizzling hot to… lukewarm at best. The manhwa had me sweating, but the anime? Missed the mark. Still, I'm watching—because I'm delulu and devoted. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Meanwhile, Unexpected Naughty Fukami kicked down the door, threw off its clothes, and said “you're not ready.” And I wasn't. It’s unhinged, uncensored, and everything I didn’t know I needed. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I'm genuinely grateful that Jaekyung took the initiative to clear up the misunderstanding right away, rather than letting it escalate into something more complicated. His straightforwardness (while occasionally unexpected) proved to be a real asset in this situation. Thank goodness we’re able to avoid a prolonged misunderstanding arc; clear and honest communication makes all the difference. Now all I need is Season 2...I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to these characters just yet ಥ_ಥ
I’m genuinely excited about the upcoming Eleceed anime adaptation, but I also can’t help feeling a bit anxious..especially when it comes to the visual quality. The art and character design in the manhwa are absolutely top-tier, and they’re a huge part of why I—and so many others—fell in love with the series in the first place. The characters don’t just look cool; their designs are a reflection of their identities, their abilities, and their growth. From their facial expressions and body language to their outfits and energy, every visual detail adds depth to who they are.
Take Kayden, for example; his charisma, mystery, and subtle humor are all embedded in the way he's drawn, whether he's in his human form or that ridiculously adorable cat form. Or Jiwoo, whose youthful look and vibrant expressions perfectly capture his kindness and determination. These designs do more than just look good—they tell a story. That’s not something that can be compromised or simplified without losing a piece of what makes Eleceed so special.
The anime has a real opportunity here: to elevate this already incredible story with motion, voice acting, music, and animation. But to do that, it needs to remain faithful to the original character aesthetics and art style. Sloppy animation, off-model characters, or a lack of detail would be more than disappointing. It would feel like a betrayal of what fans have come to love.
In short, Eleceed deserves a high-quality adaptation that honors its source material, especially in terms of visuals. The character design isn’t just a nice bonus...it’s one of the pillars that makes the manhwa so impactful. I truly hope the studio understands that and puts in the care, effort, and talent needed to bring these beloved characters to life in the way they deserve.
