No way I’m seeing comments about enacting violence on the child but not hold the ML any accountability? Bros a rude alcoholic and the child is a edgy girl both have their flaws but I find it strange seeing comments talking about punching the shit out of the little girl and other comments saying the ML was bullied and is innocent all about the same chapter too (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
Started out with hopes and now this just became shit bc why did the author randomly decide a rape scene? like I get BL authors who want like sex scenes every few chapters (which I promise you isn’t needed for a good story) and it seemed like the author had no set up for this one and said hey let’s make a out of character rape scene!! I’m going to see if links work here or not but for anyone who wants it, I found a nice list someone made of BLs with no rape in it!

In case link doesn’t work: good BL, no rape between MCs + trigger warning (part 1) is the name and it’s by “tofu”
I feel some strong character moments and angst with French dude, obviously it’s gonna be a moment for the main couple but I’m hoping this trope ends differently with them talking it out and French dude realizing that he might just have read the messages and his feelings wrong bc like really dude? Your secetary is right there!! Bros into you and only you don’t see it
I didn’t really feel chemistry between the two characters and I think it’s because of the length of the story, nothing was really explained and it seemed like there wasn’t enough length to explain? Like the length of the story and the authors writing didn’t match… like the whole Joshua not picking Lucus bc he doesn’t do romance but I thought in beginning it was bc of his age and none of that was ever explained so I’m sitting here confused for most of the story. Also what happened between the two girls? Or the friend and the boss? I feel a lot of this could have been explained and brought together to make better relationships between all the characters
Like I agree the 3p was a weird relationship but not for the reason everyone else seems to think, I wish we got the two tops falling in love too along with just all of them dating bc I’m confused why the bottom is ok admitting he’s in love with his friend but not his sex friend? Like bro it’s ok to just love both of them like they love you and friend/lover already talks about how he isn’t jealous just grateful for the sex friend… they could all literally have the best throuple im just saying (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
It's an unbalanced relationship and likely bound to fail. There seems to be a trend of loving poly relationships now a days, but people always forget that relationships are pretty fragile and need constant communication and reinforcement. Not saying poly cannot work, I just don't think most people can make it work. One bad month, bad week, or even bad day can cause a spiral of jealousy, resentment, and/or paranoia, no matter how mature of a person one is (or more likely think one is).
Yeah, poly relationships require SO much communication and work. I love poly content and in a dream world I could do it irl (bc I have so much love to give), but I'm self aware enough to admit that my insecurities probably wouldn't let it work. I agree most people aren't able to manage it and keep it healthy, though I have so much respect for the ones who do.
But I love seeing poly in fiction, even though it's very hard to find it done right
I was more invested in woojin then any of the other characters and he seemed like a not needed character. The way the main couple was “yeah so I’m the boss and ima sexually harass you for work but I like you now!” And the dude was like “ok!” Like broooo and then woojin is there being heartbroken and shit (but I feel for him bc I was in a same situation) idk first time where I read a bl that made me actually skip over parts which is disappointing bc I liked another one of the authors works :( just wasn’t my cup of tea but I’m glad others seemed to like it

I’m awful with names so I wouldn’t be calling them by their names sorry
I really liked this story and its realistic portrayal of people! And yes that includes the miss communication bc there’s no way on earth that everyone here is fantastic at communicating? It just seems frustrating for us bc we already know lol.
I think people are not thinking realistically when it came to the accident. I love all the characters but irl I would choose my childhood friend over my lover who I’ve dated for less then a year… they just needed better communication bc I think they both realized the situation but where both getting thoughts and self cautious about their relationship..
about the friend tho.. I like him as a character bc he’s a bad person but also it’s explained why he is. As someone who’s disabled, disabilities are very tough to live with and I have found my self many times in the same situation of not finding any point to living, and then to add on the fact that the character had no personality bc it was decided for him since birth.. like his mom literally started just talking about the business instead of his recovery like yikes. I think the friend was a semi realistic portrayal of someone who was never allowed to be a child or be a human at that, and when you’re finally allowed to it’s not always gonna be healthy.
I also liked the portrayal of internalized homophobia and especially how it can affect people close to you. Like the whole relationship between that random side character and the uke was something I don’t see very often, internalized homophobia can become violent and anger and I always see it portrayed as sad and isolating when it can be both..
anyways if you made it to the end thank you :D I enjoy analyzing BLs sometimes and so I appreciate you reading this yap I made!
