I loved when the story was talking about how even though BL is a genre and popular it doesn’t mean the people who write it are actually supportive of queer couples. It’s something I’ve noticed over the years of reading BL and being a queer person myself that there’s a huge population of homophobic BL and GL fans and it never made sense to me but this one opened up about it in a good way and how that could’ve made him hide his own queerness. I LOVED IT

The art is gorgeous and the characters are great designs and like the age gap isn’t even bad I just can’t get over this 25 yr old man had this high school kid with him for a year with a relationship that to me seemed familiar and but like all of a sudden it’s a 2 yr time skip? Like idk I feel kinda Icked by it sadly :( I wish he wasn’t a high schooler or that the entire season wasn’t him in high school and this guy 25 bc now I’m too attached to seeing them with a different relationship of caretaker and child instead of romance T^T

I love given but this side story is so confusing to me? Idk why but it seems like the main couple is the exact same but also worse? Like you could see their relationship developing in given and even their characters developing but it feels regressive in this side story? Like wdym they sleep in separate rooms, go three days without talking to each other? And the only really couple time they get is when maf initiates sex? Like does ue not initiate any intimacy? Do they not do any couple things like the other do? They just seem like less a couple and more fwb who fight all the time and haven’t left their childish attitudes for ten years! Like I love that maf is ok fighting but after ten years you would think they would work on it?

I need people to realize this is dubcon which can be different then just straight up rape so if someone does enjoy this it doesn’t mean they have a rape fetish T^T now this is also to say that I think dubcon is strictly fictional unless it’s a consensual dubcon roleplay so obviously this is unrealistic and the dude would be a rapist but this is dubcon as the bottom says he didnt hate it or regret it unlike in actual rapist stories like jinx for example

The story was so good and the author did a great job with talking about different trauma experiences and responses. Even the god awful brother was a good written character like he’s a great example about how victims are capable of repeating abuse and he was written in a way of where I fucking hated him sooo badly and I’m ok that he got someone just as fucked up as him. I get the most disgusted face every time he popped up on my screen. And I’m actually ok with how the author portrayed the trauma of getting raped afterwords in a relationship, ML was understanding and patient with MC and MC related how scary it is and how scary it can be to be raped and be in a relationship, he blamed himself and it was scared how ML would think of him but they are just such a good couple and the way ML reassured him and UGH THEY MAKE ME SO SICK IN THE BEST OF WAYS

I usually hate these character tropes of the like yelling and always freaking out character and a trashy money is everything character but god these two work it. Chanichani is such a whore and basically sugar daddy but I believe he’s totally starting to warm up to seokjun. Seokjun also has a reason to be freaking out even though it’s a little annoying he has this totally unrealistic situation happening at the moment so like I don’t blame him! I need him to fix chanichani tho like they are definition of “I can fix him” lol

Story was amazing and I hated the brother with everything I have but for once I’m happy with how the aftermath of trauma was portrayed. I’m a SA victim and sometimes how trauma is portrayed in BL sucks and it was nice to see how bongchun treated him after it happened. He took his time and didn’t rush and didn’t ask bc sometimes as victims it’s harder for us to recall those moments especially if it happened with a family member and while I wish we got alittle more attention on the trauma from soongap it was still a surprising touch to the story and made me happy cry bc it was such a triggering and traumatic scene and so it’s nice it wasn’t completely glossed over though I do think the brother deserved to live with his guilt till the end of his life if he died I don’t think soongap nor bongchun would have coped with that nicely especially with how they coped with death and trauma around it. I think soongap wouldn’t want his brother dead but definitely wants away from him

I couldn’t even tell you what the plot is or the character dynamic bc they seem to change every chapter started off like a fun short smutty story but it took such a turn for the worst and they went from fake dating to married in one chapter? AND NOW THEY TOXIC? WHATS HAPPENING???

I actually hate every character in this story and the plot confuses the fuck out of me but I’m still interested in reading it. The abusive relationships make me uncomfortable so it’s definitely not a wholesome story for the faint of heart. This shit is TOXIC yaoi lol

Not my favorite, the rape does not fit with the whole “growing as adults” narrative bc that’s not how that works! I also feel the pacing is too fast for all their development especially like I’m confused if the two tops actually liked each other or not bc they were called rivals but they were also dating? Jin’s character was crazy and kinda filled with just stereotypes of moc like him being incredibly dangerous, out of touch and like cold, and like a rapist. And the bottom yelled at him for raping him constantly but are we not gonna talk about the way the other top dressed like a kidnapper and violently raped the bottom at his school!? And the way Jin was apart of it!? Like what the fuck is happening. The communication aspect was very realistic but the way of their development needed more chapters and longer development bc I feel no love between the three

I really liked authors “dear gene” and came to read more stories from them but this one ultimately triggered me like really bad! I like bl so ultimately I’m use to sadly seeing these topic portrayed and I usually can handle it but this one broke me. I have a few issues with it; the pacing was not the best, idk how we got from him feeding him to him raping him and I don’t know how the kid did what he was able to do, I didn’t really see the grooming aspect which is why to me the story seemed to treat the kid and the rapist as equals more than a victim being groomed into this abusive pedophilic relationship? The portrayal to someone who’s gone through this didn’t seem correct, also I need authors to know that you can portray scenes in horror and psychological media without getting super explicit. I didn’t need to see this man fully rape this kid and I didn’t need to see all the other scenes, I wfeel the author could have cleverly input more of the fish scenes into those explicit moments bc I was so busy skipping through them I’m probably missing a lot of info which makes it hard to understand the whole story :(
