I think the author wanted to create something between the nurse and the pe teacher but didn't have the time and space and needed to end this story but the chemistry was there for sure.
And between the two i definitely think mc liked the nurse more, their moments were more intimate and also judging from that long kiss he gave him vs the peck to the pe teacher that felt like crumbs
But overall i felt bad for the nurse, seems he was disappointed on MC being with the pe teacher too like nothing. So by the end of it, it doesn't feel like he sees MC as a relationship material anymore and it's just fine with fooling around as a trio.
