I would have given this manga a higher score if it wasn't because of the stupid decisions made by the characters disguised as a stupid plot device. The premise of the story and the characters are interesting but to make them do stupid decisions to create a plot is such a sloppy writing.
What pissed me off the most is that fucking stupid duel. Because what do you mean your mate agreed to a duel with another bastard with you as the price just because he sympathize with him??? The bastard kissed his mate right in front of him and had the audacity to challenge him for a duel all while they are inside his own kingdom and he just accepted it? After all the things they've been through, he'd just give another bastard a chance to snatch him away? And if it wasn't because of the plot armor and he lost, then what? He'd just let his mate get snatched away from him while he cry in the corner? He got the time to sympathize with the other bastard but got no time to consider how his mate feels about the whole stupid duel thing? Just pure stupidity at its finest. Lost my respect for the "king" just because he couldn't stand his ground.
The art is top-natch. The smut is fucking hot. But the plot is sloppy and stupid in most part. The last volume couldn't have just happened and it wouldn't even make any difference in the story.
Idk but if that was me choosing between a never-ending debt from an abusive aunt with her asshole boyfriend or a horny bastard who's willing to buy me off, I'd rather choose the latter. Being worked like a robot and still not able to pay off even 5% of your debt and being beaten on top of that is obviosly not an option for me considering my current state of living.
