The story doesn't say that men can't hold power, just that women have the right to hold better and higher positions, and they have the right to have more than one husband. However, if you look at it, no matter how much power all of these men have they are only using it for the FL, they are the ones acting like jealous concubines. If she really had no power they wouldn't cater to her. And she's no exactly sleeping with all of them. The only ones she's actually had sex with is the priest that killed her and the Lord Bain, who's her child hood friend. Not even her current husband has had sex with her, so it's not her sex appeal keeping them in line. Especially since each and every one of them, with the exception of the priest, has offered to give her their place of power just to be with her.

As far as the rapes go, is it because the men are getting raped? There are rarely any complaints if it the woman, but God forbid if the men are sexually exploited.

Everytime I see a comment like this I really wonder if u ppl actually read the comment sections. If a woman gets raped and the author think its okay to just leave it at that, PPL GET ABSOLUTELY BLOODTHIRSTY. I do read the comments sections, so let me lay a few facts down for you. I come from a rape culture where it is socially acceptable for women to be rape victims due to being the "weaker" sex. And yes people yell about it, but you can still find graphic novels and stories where 90% of rapes or more occur with women or young girls being the victims. AND THIS IS A WORLD WIDE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABL AND EXCEPTED FACT!!!! However, I have never heard more bitching, yelling and complaining than when a female character is the one raping or abusing the male. So tell me, why should it be more socially acceptable and expected that the female is the victim of rape and abuse, yet it's treated as more morally wrong when the victim is a male. In the news the women that take advantage of young boys are constantly being burned alive by the media, AS IF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IS WORSE THAN A MAN RAPING A YOUNG GIRL. Yet barely half that amount of time is spent in a man raping a young girl. Since when has either been more acceptable to hate than the other? Like everything in society, the moment gender "norms" are defied people start protesting. I don't promote rape and that wasn't what I was asking in my post. I was asking if the protest against the rape was because of the rape in general or if it was because it defied the gender norms and it was a woman raping a full grown man. Perhaps YOU should read the comments sections more closely. Don't start a fight with me kiddo, I'm not the type to play around. I made a true and honest comment, and you are welcome to disagree, but do your fucking research before you come at me.

I'm sure us both dont live under a rock, so we KNOW what kind of society we live in. A sexist society in which women are the main victims of rape, and worse, they are always blamed for it, which is never the case when victims are men. Yes, I know the basics, so there's no need for the whole explanation on rape culture because I'm pretty sure we (me, you, and the person who made the comment) live in the same world.
Anyway, I'll ask again: have you been reading the comments lately? Like, I could link here the latest chinese/korean/japanese mangas, webtoons, manhuas (specially the colored ones) or whatever but as it'd take too long, I'll just tell you whats in the comments section of those: disgust. Of course, there ARE good stories, but most of them have a girl being abused by the male, and thats taken lighly, natural, ROMANTICIZED. And trust me, most of the readers dont take that kind of shit kindly. If you see someone liking it, I assure you its a teen, and thats fine cause they'll eventually grow up.

i always hate when main characters commit rape despite being female or male...that usually is what leads me to drop some mangas where the main couple have a relationship born from rape [usually happens in yaoi but have seen some with straight couples] and that is one of my pet peeves...i'd probably drop this one too if that man was "forced" to be with mc in this second timeline too

i know they don't say that but the author makes it clear that this society in theory women were the one who hold more power over men, and even so we don't see any in positions of power...i can't fit our female lead in this cuz by your exemple her power in this story would come from being loved by many men of power but having none by herself and that really bugged me... i understand not many people may see it like that but that's how i felt =/

i think i've been unclear in my previous reply, i'm sorry, sometimes speaking in another language may be confusing if you're sleepy [which i am now]...the author makes clear that women are in the top of the hierarchy...when i said they were only shown to be above men in the sexual aspect i didn't mean the female lead had slept with everyone, but that it was the only aspect we saw where women had the upper hand [being free to sleep with whoever they want without being seen as a slut and being able to marry multiple husbands]....and i stand by my thought that the female lead has no power because even though she has lots of men who want her she's got no power by herself, so would her only "power" be being desirable/lovable? i expected more and the whole discourse of women being the top dogs seems to me just a bait, because we don't see that happening [it didn't even have to be with the female lead, it could be other women too]...like i said, the only other woman we see is that red haired one who ended up just a minion for many other men....sadly

I totally got what you meant, and I agree, I have yet to see any proof of the MC, or any woman for that matter, actually holding any real power. I think the concept is nice and, if it had been executed correctly, would have changed the dynamics of the story. As it stands the MC isn't a woman of power, but like every other FL in a harem webtoon.
