hmmm ngl i felt like this, too, at the beginning but as i continued reading, you saw the characters grow and they genuinely try their best to make it work and be sincere and honest with each other. I think that's great growth and makes this story a bit healthier. but i guess everyone interprets stuff differently, I just assumed everyone would agree on the character growth and development owo

The character development is apparent but I just didn’t understand the whole concept of having to get revenge and pretending to be in a relationship, I just felt like that was unneccessary and that he should have just left him and (ultimately as they are the main couple) get together after talking it all out...but maybe I just read it all too fast to fully understand the motives of each character. Either way, it wasn’t for me but I would never tell anyone else not to read this if it was their choice to

Also, in my opinion, the main couple were only BOTH totally honest with eachother during the last few chapters, so it had a feeling of “ok this is being pushed forward in order to bring this story to a conclusion after all the manipulation and revenge”

I did think it was a wise decision for the author to make it a healthier end. But I do agree with you. I believe people can't change that easily, they will always tend to go back to their old habits... I guess the author wanted to end it there and then and hadn't had the opportunity to make it seem more realistic.


Or am I being too much of a pessimist?

Well, I guess the time span that they were apart was over 3 months and, although that was squeezed into a single chapter, I do feel like the author didn’t think there was any more reason to drag it out and probably just wanted to give the couple the happy ending everyone was waiting for. So no, I don’t think you’re being pessimistic at all lol

MeMeMe, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I wish I've read your comment before starting this webtoon. I ended up dropping it after chapter 30. I feel like the uke went from one mentaly abusive boyfriend to another. I don't even care if the actor guy ends up being better, he had no right to be this shitty to begin with.

It wasn’t to save the seme. He had a HUGE dept towards Rogi and Rogi offered that as a deal. (If he didn’t pay back his group would probably be in trouble since they needed Rogi for a deal)

Yes but besides the fact that he let one of rogi’s prostitues escape, rogi also threatened to force the seme to sleep with ppl and get the money back that way unless the uke slept with rogi himself

Rogo didn’t “threaten” him. He just said that if Tatsuyuki doesn’t have that kind of money to pay him back, he can offer sensei as a payment... more or less a way to piss off Tatsuyuki rather than threatening.

Not defending Rogi, I think he’s trash too but to give him credit, he never force anyone to do anything. He only set his trap and coerce others into doing what he wants, like how he set Tatsu up. He has never explicitly told Tatsuyuki that he will harm sensei, only mentioned how valuable he is as a “goods” if Tatsu wants to sacrifice him as an apology. Rogi has no attachment to Tatsu and only wants to abuse him to stir up his father, so it makes sense that he finds joy in pissing Tatsu off.

I have read it all and he didn’t threaten anyone. Especially not his dad. Like I said, threatening is not Rogi’s way to do business. But let’s just assume that you and I interpret the events and the talks differently.

Bringing up sensei’s looks and how his face would bring in fast money was obviously hinting that if the uke didn’t listen to rogi something would be done to the sensei, idk what you would call that other than threatening. Also, although rogi didn’t get the chance to, he was fully planning to use the recordings of him and the uke to blackmail/threaten the dad and get him to meet eachother. Rogi uses underhanded techniques hence why he’s been in the yakuza business for a long while

You can see how I interpret the part about sensei’s look and such above. It’s okay if you don’t agree.
And yes I forgot the tape! Thanks for reminding me. But then again he didn’t pursue it knowing fully well such threats don’t work the way he wants them to. He dropped the idea, not “didn’t get the chance to”. Having the idea and actually pursuing it (threatening and blackmailing) are 2 different things.
