Thanks to @Yumiswife's comment I won't be reading this story. Isn't that what you want? Plus, how is one supposed to know they don't like something unless they try it? Or perhaps you have a way of telling whether a manga is good by just looking at the title?

I agree that in real life, that type of situation would be wrong. But I think in this instance, the author just used it as a gag of some sort.
I mean, the author tends to downplay some pretty serious situations. Like when Hisui's (?) family literally abandoned him. The way it was portrayed trivialized the scenario at hand. And when someone left their god damn baby for Hisui to take care of, and at that blackmailed him (not to mention how potentially heart wrenching that scene when he took the baby to school could have been) like damn dude.This could have been a completely different story.

Were they really forcing their opinion though? Is stating an opinion the same as shoving it down people's throats? This is a comment section. Why aren't people allowed to comment stuff just because you might disagree with it? The whole thread start from a question followed by an opinion. Granted, the opinion wasn't favorable but it should still be allowed. How can that be seen as insulting the author? Yumiswife didn't say the author was trash or that her story was trash, they just criticized a part of it. Just because the overall story is good ( which I'm not sure of because I don't remember it lol) doesn't mean you can't find some part of flawed.

Uhm I think you should just stop reading yaois. I just think it’s not your thing. And that’s totally fine.
There’s almost always weird stuff in yaoi. Bdsm, animalistic features, male pregnancies, rape to ‘further’ the plot.
You don’t have to force yourself to read it.
Weird stuff, It’s always going to be there in this genre.
You could just stick to shoujo.
Seinen, if you’re into action and stuff. But then again, it too can sometimes contain weird things. Female characters get groped and then they make it ‘funny’.
I’ve read a lot of genres and I can sortbof push pass it in a way. And not everyone has to. Find a genre you like and stick with it. Don’t go exploring if you’re not open to unusual stuff

Just bc weird shit goes on in this world doesn’t make it acceptable. There are a lot of yaois that do handle issues like this appropriately and this one is not it. Also people are open to unusual shit but there is a line where facilitating pedo content is and will always will be disgusting.

Well, I get it. We just have to be very selective with what we choose to watch or read.
It’s not like we can change how mangakas carry out their themes of plot.
But we can avoid the things we don’t like.
For example, I stopped watching sword art online because of an episode containing very detailed violent rape scene.
I was honestly grossed out and it left me to tears . Like it was so uncalled for. I wasn’t expecting to see that on that anime. But my boyfriend completed the series. I wasn’t mad at him. I just didn’t have tolerance for it even though I loved the story and characters.

This has absolutely nothing to do with my thoughts on yaoi. This is a reminder of the truth about yaoi for people that get off to anime children having sex.

It’s just a theme. Idk, I don’t read yaois to get off or emulate the stories irl. No one does.
No one incorporates what they watch or read into their lives.

I completely agree with you. Yes there are some VERY messed up comics/manga out there, but it’s your choice to read them, you don’t have to but if you choose to I don’t believe you should be criticised for it.
If this stuff happened in real like the oh boy! Get the FBI, child protection services and every other organisation to stop this madness, but as a purely fictional case... it doesn’t hurt anyone, right?
There are of course lines that are unfortunately crossed (mainly in porn), but take it with a grain of salt, enjoy the story and disregard the message.
The only times I’m worried is when young children read these plots and think it’s ok in real life, that’s when I wish age restrictions were a lot tighter.
