She is still at fault but I don't like how all the responsibilities and pressure about the child were put on her... The ML is also responsible for his kid, he didn't try to understand her and made her feel worse when she was in depression.
I understand the pattern of the FL, her "bad mother background" was well built and didn't come from nowhere (but it's not easily forgivable tho, the child didn't deserve that :/). The only thing that doesn't sit right for me is that it lasted until he was a teenager (it's sooo long), but I suppose that her post-partum depression was very serious and led to severe depression ? (I don't have a lot of knowledge in that field (￣∇￣"))
But the father has no good reason to justify his past self... He was a good duke but a bad father/husband, he neglected his family and their ending was sad. I don't feel bad for him for the "u were my best choice" thing bc he doesn't deserve my pity for this, living as a woman in this period is so hard. Her way of thinking was normal for me ?? Wifes are like objects for most men at this moment, ofc she will think that he was the best choice for her and that's the reason she married him at this moment ??? I do understand why he is sad but if he really understood why she told him that, he wouldn't have struggled to tell her that it hurts his feeling.
So yeah, still doesn't change the fact that FL was a bad mother, but the father was bad too and I'm kinda pissed that she's bearing all the blame just bc she is a woman and her only role in the household was being a perfect mother...
But I still like the FL and the ML, but the FL needs a redemption arc toward the son only and not the ML. I don't feel satisfied abt the fact that he didn't realize how bad she felt after giving birth, I know that she mentioned how she was desperate at ch24 but the ML was only thinking of his POV (the best choice thing) and it wasn't comparable to her pain... Idk, I think I'm taking it too personally as a woman... Only his pride/confidence was hurt, I hate it how he didn't listen to her and made it about him, he answered like "aNd WhAt AbOuT Me ??" bruuuh that's not the point bro, u a man so ofc who your spouse is won't determine your life, you have a lot of things to fill your life. But her being a mother was literally the only thing she was told to do...
I HATE IT HOW THEIR STRUGGLE AND PAIN ARE NOT COMPARABLE AND THE ML ACT LIKE HE IS THE VICTIM and she is the one who had to make the first step to stabilize the couple.... ML JUST HAD TO ASK HER "Do u love me ?" AND ALL HIS QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED...... But for her, she needed real support to go through everything in her first life but she didn't have anyone..... so yeah... sadlife.

Omg yes queen took the words right out of my mouth. As someone with a lot of family struggles I understand what Vincente is going through. I know its not easy to forgive people esp your parents when they have wronged you for reasons that weren't your fault. Even if the mother was trying to change it's hard to accept that it took you so long to realize you were a bad parent. It may sound heartless to some but from the perspective of the child the parents would totally be in the wrong. "Why should I recieved the backlash of the shit my parents are going through?"
