Um you haven't realized there is a reason for the way Zay is I see. Odd.

I absolutely hate Elisa and think she's a b**** for the way she treated Azef in the novel. But I understand that most people like her despite or *for* that.

I don’t hate how Elisa treated Azef in the novel but I do not agree on how she did it.

Care to explain why Zay is like that then

No she reincarnated countless time and she ended up loving Azef every time but she also died every time too. So god pity her and sent her to another world so she won’t fall in love with him anymore but somehow she got back to this world again.

Okay now, I got confused. But I do see that it is possible(because I don’t remember multiple) as she was talking to the goddess the and the goddess said that “every time” she sacrifices herself for azef

Anyway, I do still stand by my favor of Elisa over Jay. Elisa might’ve been wrong in dealing with Azef in the novel and that Jay may have suffered multiple time, I still see Jay as a distressed damsel.

Even if Jay reincarnated multiple times, she only remembers her korean life and the life Jay lived by until she reincarnated. So her being a damsel in distress is not as founded by her multiple reincarnation. That’s just my opinion.

So in general you dont like distressed damsel no matter who they are and the reason why they became like that, your opinion though

Yeah, so? I’m not a fan of damsels in distress. I like my mcs strong and smart. Is it wrong to prefer strong characters? Is it wrong to like those that show better characteristics and personalities? Whatever they went through, I prefer those that were able to stand up for themselves like Azef

Agreed. She treated him bad in the novel. Say is literally the only person keeping him from going bad. Say is not weak, she’s mild mannered. She’s strong for choosing Aseph over her family’s wishes (at the end of season 1), she fights her curse mark everyday, and she always runs to the rescue of her annoying ass selfish sister.

i like Zay , i don't care about liza at all, Zay is a very strong woman her soul is made from diamond nothing can break her, there is noting wrong if someone can't defend himself properly not every woman is a knight or whatever

Why put the responsibility in Liza’s hands in keeping another person sane? Liza chose the prince and that’s her right plus they were destined. Again, I’m not saying I agree in how she did it but that’s her choice, her right to choose her OWN partner.

Zay is lacking for me and if she isn’t for you then that’s fine.

I dont hate Zay, I just favor Liza more. There is nothing wrong if you one can’t defend herself. All I’m sayong is that I like stronger characters MORE.

I’m usually right there with you. I’m the FIRST to complain if a female character is weak especially if the story is about her. Haaaate weak character leads. I didn’t think that of Zay though. Maybe the author did a good job of showcasing her role better. Like her purpose (in this story) is to BE kind and compassionate (or else Aseph will spiral into a terrible killing spree), whereas other female leads have OTHER things they should be worrying about, but instead, they’re waiting to get rescued. =_= like I’m ok with Zay being.... super physically weak because her “role” in the story is to be loving, not strong. But I can’t say the same for other characters in their stories. A good example of this is “the Abandoned Empress”. Lmfaoooo I have a lot of feelings about that giiiiiiiilrl

I still see Zay as a weak character, overshadowed by Azef and the father(my fave). Yes, she is kind and compassionate but that is all she is to me. Like character growth where? Maybe in the coming chapters. We’ll see. She is a good supporting character for me but as the mc it’s a different story.

I tried to work with Abandoned Empress but omg, the lead girl is still freaking weak. She already lived a second life but she a damsel in distress through and through. I dropped that already coz I dont like how she was written. Not someone to look up to.

I gotta say i agree with you there, i personally like Zay more than her sister

I also read "the Abandoned Empress" and dropped it, still annoyed at that girl lol
