Somehow karas is able to bring forth a Man who had the antidote (power of the dragon) which brings Abel back. It fixes his heart and makes it basically normal.
Basically Kara's has this ability to attract or materialize things that he wishes for. The things he wishes for just come out of nowhere.... so a man comes forth from the woods and has an herb that can bring a person back to life.
They met the very first regas (in an old man form) in a fog inside the forest where Karas wandered into trying to find the plant antidote. I think because of Karas' desperation to save abel he let out his power, then animals suddenly started to show and a fog started forming (kind of like in the King's Forest). While Karas overthinks about the possibilities of losing abel again an old ugly man appeared lol. They did not know it was the very first regas, but this scene will be flashbacked in the future chapters of the novel and it shows that the ugly old man was the regas of the first dragon. He kept wandering in the forest (I think for hundreds and thousands of years after the first dragon died) trying to find the plant of resurrection and when he finally found it, the fog cleared up a little and he found Karas and Abel inside it (from the present time) and handed them the plant. He actually warned them to only take the plant once (in any form). Because taking it once will resurrect a dead person and more than once the plant will instead be so poisonous it will lethally kill u after reviving u.
