It would have so much better if the story focussed on ml and his pain. The way he started simping over her after just seeing her "loving look" invalidates all his pain n suffering. Isn't he supposed to be distrusting of any affection after his foster mother's abuse? All that build up of painful backstory just seems like something for fl to cry over. Honestly I expected to see a wounded wary stray cat like ml but all i got was yet another cliched obssesvive schemer fussing over the tears of a random girl he just met in the garden. The story shud hav focussed more on healing of the ml than him comforting the fl.

Yea I think this author is crazy smart and really knows how to play you, because in the end, all there is to it is comedy and pure filial love. I personally never expected this to turn into BL so I never read it this way, I probably would have been just disappointed if it went there but it just makes me happy everytime that it doesn't and turns out really sweet and/or funny.
