I wish it were spicier but the love story was great anyway

I re-read this from time to time. The storytelling is compelling, the love feels genuine (unlike in many other stories), and the tension is delicious. I also adore the endgame— the other guy didn’t tempt me for even a second

What a wonderful, touching, unassuming story! Had much more soul and substance to it than many of the popular colorful Yaois here

What the hell am I doing reading this on Christmas Eve? This is heartbreaking; Go spend some happy time with those you love, silly me!

Without explicit scenes, this is one of the sexiest (and romantic) stories on this site.

I loved that Matthew was totally fine with the switching, it signaled true unconditional love to me and I wholeheartedly wish that I could see them switch.

To be completely honest, I wanted to see them intimate with each other and I wanted to see what happens with Jiwook and the psychopath. Allin all, nice work but I prefer "mad dog" to this.

Oh, come on! Give us the rest. And fu** you Skyler. I know you're young and all, but you hurt Cirrus by exploiting his weakness, which he entrusted you with. That was unforgivably low. I'm sorry for what your first love did to you, but you don't deserve Cirrus and, honestly, I want Cirrus to find happiness with someone else and I want you to regret this for the rest of your life.

I read this after watching the movie, so my opinion might be influenced by the adaptation. However, as in most cases, from Anna Karenina to Harry Potter, written words are just inherently stronger than pictures. I adored the movie but loved the manga. The two imperfect main characters were far from being heroes, but were so much more lovable exactly because of that!

What a unique dynamic they have—functionally dysfunctional! I really enjoy stories like this that take the time to show, rather than just tell, the gradual formation of love between characters. It makes the story so much more gripping and enjoyable!

Notsure@77 created a topic of Yonin no Nibiiro

Breathtaking story, memorable and unique characters, meaningful angst, and believable love!
This is one of the absolute best stories here, yet it only has an 8.2 rating! A perfect example of why ratings can be meaningless. Make your own choices, kids—don’t let the mediocrity of the majority's taste steer you wrong (and this applies to more than just manga selection)!

What a wasted opportunity to create a versatile couple! And what a turn-off that MC's reason to refuse his lover's offer of switching was that "I want to continue seeing a tough guy under me". Ugh...! The story was okay overall and I loved the black hair guy's personality and physics but it had the potential to be much better than this.

Notsure@77 created a topic of A Thousand Cranes

The falling in love part seemed rushed. Out of nowhere, they were suddenly "in love"! I would have been okay with them lusting after each other and then gradually falling in love, but the plot jumped to the love phase illogically and clumsily. That killed the enjoyment for me.
