I get why people would interpret mc as a trans woman but it's also really weird how some of y'all see a guy into "cute" and "feminine" stuff and assume there's no way he can be a man. Like this specific story has themes about gender that are specifically about toxic masculinity, mc is insecure about his own masculinity because he doesn't fit into the stereotype that's why there's lines about him wanting to be a girl, so that his interests wouldn't be judged, so he wouldn't be judged by people.

Since y'all love to use murder in fiction as an analogy as to why reading this shit is okay let's talk about it. If someone actively writes books or plays games where they seek out a particular group of people such as women or poc to murder and victimize then would it not be really fucking weird? Some time ago there was this story about this guy (i do not remember the name at the moment) who admitted to playing GTA so he could murder the women npc and characters in game, sure it's fictional and it didn't hurt any women in real life but does it not tell you a lot about the kind of person the guy is?
