Now that I think of it, people are angry because we feel like we've been betrayed by the author.. I've seen a lot of angry comments at other mangas before and most of it were just complaining about the characters and the situation they're in, it's pretty rare to see people getting angry at the author unless the story is really terrible. Let's think about how this happened in the first place... Djun has been making a lot of author's notes and comments since the early chapters. He/she has been communicating with readers and caused some discussions a few times, djun has been tearing down the wall between author and readers so everytime we read the story we would always be reminded of how there's a person behind this story. Sure it's not necessarily a bad thing, readers would realize that the author is also human and just telling a story so communication between us is not negative at all. Readers would usually give love to the authors, I've seen this a lot.. and before this, people actually like djun for this. However, this is only the case if the author keeps the readers' satisfaction level at optimum, or at least balanced between like and dislike. Since djun decided to go with this development, at this time, at this pacing, after building up hype, it's only understandable that people would be angry. But instead of being angry at the fujoshi for disturbing or angry at yuyang for being insecure.. people are angry towards the root of the problem itself- in this case, Djun. Because we no longer think of lihuan and yuyang as humans like us, we just think of them as characters created by djun.

Hmm that's a good point. I also think it's because people are not angry at the characters or the situation per se, but at the pacing, story-telling and the whole misunderstanding as plot device that is rather poorly deployed (seeing a girl talking to Li Huan triggers trauma).
It's like Naruto fans screaming at Kishi the author all the time l m a o.

Lol, hating on the author is pretty new to me since I'm an avid reader of One Piece, and not once in my 15 years of following OP have I ever been angry at Oda-sensei.. he's just THAT good tbh. And after getting into mangago, I realize that I'm actually a picky person when it comes to story telling and world building. So if a story is unsatisfying then I'd go all out hating it.

Ahh OP. I heard it was good but haven't started on it because when I started wanting to try it it was already like 500 chapters or something... so I gave up LMAO.
Speaking of good story with great pacing, Fullmetal Alchemist is a masterpiece ;~; Have you read it?
Detective Conan and Naruto's authors got shit on so many times because of how the author kept dragging the story out without any development (Conan) or BS development (Naruto).

Yessss fullmetal alchemist is one of my favourites. OP is already at 900+ chapters though haha if you want to start now you're gonna need a lot of free time. I used to collect detective conan's comics but then I stopped at volume 70-80+ because I got bored, I agree it's repetitive, I might pick it up again someday.
Anyway, shounen manga with good storyline and pacing are rare, most of them either get too draggy or too rushed. One Piece is the only manga that has kept its original motivation and energy even though it's been almost 1000 chapters. As for my other favourites, Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterxHunter, Monster, One Outs and Liar Game are also great manga with fantastic pacing. I recommend them all haha

OMFG Hunter x Hunter. I hope it's not dropped forever.
Agreed. Bleach is an example of a story with tremendous potentially falling into disgrace lol. Not to mention the female characters in a shounen are absolute trash. Thank God FMA's author is a female who writes awesome female badasses. It's so easy to write a good female character like just write your usual male character but change the gender what's so fucking hard.
So yeah back to the point: nothin wrong with slow burn if there's good development. The problem rises when we've got a Detective Conan LOL

Oh dear, don't get me started on bleach haha such a waste of potential
I actually don't mind slow burns when it comes to romance, heck I even survived through Skip Beat all these years and I still continue reading it because romance is not really the main focus of the story. People still read detective conan despite slow burn because romance is not even the focus. But this manhua however, relies heavily on romance yet we couldn't even get proper relationship between mcs.
Also, considering togashi's health, HxH is probably never going to finish haha

I'm crying. HxH is master piece.
Conan doesn't make much development with mafia side either. We're at 1000+ chapters and we JUST knew the name of the boss lmao. The readers are mostly followers who got attached to their childhood and even they have to agree the story is going nowhere. Clearly Aoyama is just making shit up as he goes along. So many h o l e s.

The mangaka has always wanted the readers to somehow look from the demons' perspectives. Ever since the beginning of the story, the kids' dinner scene would always coincide with the demons' dinner scenes. It's probably because the mangaka wants to highlight the fact that humans are their meal as much as chickens/cows etc are our meal.

It won't be a romance manga. The novel is focused solely on Jinwoo's awesomeness and advancements. There won't be much scenes with Cha Haein, but she is actually quite strong and independent. She's not dumb like most heroines, she thinks rationally most of the time, she's not an airhead and quite understanding as well (more like the most understanding girl on jinwoo's side since she's also a hunter so she can relate). I'm sure you guys will fall in love with her soon ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Vold's full name is voldopus? What is he, a pokemon?
I mean, the tone of the scene was very serious and I was at the edge of my seat but when he suddenly screamed "VOLDOPUS!", I just lost it.. mannnn hahahahahaha
