The first few 30 or so chapters really confused me at first. I still didn’t know what’s going on or why. It’s like the were still setting everything up for something deeper. And it was, halfway through, things were getting unraveled little by little. And things started to make sense. Glad it’s a happy ending for them. They’ve been through a lot.
Maybe missed out some plot that could’ve been explored more, but with what we have, this was really good. Characters and setting was great. Funny as hell. Bawled my eyes out on the part where they made the old man meet his friend and have closure.
Was also glad that the author did no intend yeom rah and the brother to be seen in a romantic light. In other bl, this would be your typical toxic relationship. But it was obvious that even if yeom rah did love him, it all went down to obsession. And while he had his own history, he still made the brother’s life miserable.
As an artist, I love the way the characters and scenery are rendered. There’s always a nice sketchy texture that really brings out the uneasiness Yoshiki feels. And I like the focus on the storytelling and worldbuilding. Also the hamster reacting to Yoshiki’s presence means Hikaru’s influence is already “merging” with him, like what the lady warned him about.
It was so heavy on the heart because it portrays the reality of being a minority. So I sobbed a lot. It showed a lot of topics that I experienced. I also liked how the mc still had a lot of growth and understanding to go. And I didn’t mind at all if he ended up with the other guy or not, them going through their journey was the focus. This manga showed the importance of having a community. And the representation of each character.
The part where the friends were being shipped and they’re just going along with it, was pretty accurate, happened in my high school back then too. Usually bl mangas make a big deal about it, so this was refreshing.

The way the artist drew their expressions was really spot on and you can really feel the grief one is going through. Ch 4 pg.13 really got to me. “There was nobody there” hit me like a truck. love it
Their chemistry together is sooo good. The sexual tension is also insane. And the realism within the plot really makes you more attached to the characters
I couldn’t comprehend the plot at first since it started without the setting up the world building yet. But the later chapters made me attached to the characters and wanted to read more. It ended on quite the cliffhanger and is on hiatus. Really wanted to see how the two will react once they remember each other.
I’ve never read novels, but I cannot wait for the next upload and my curiosity is off the roof. Comments were also recommending to read the novel, so I’m gonna read it and see where it leads me!
