As much as we’re left with a cliffhanger, the misunderstanding wasn’t as frustrating for me since the reason isn’t ‘petty’ (I’ve read enough bl with that troupe it drained me)
Haru’s dealing with some serious inferiority complex but isn’t ready to face it yet when asked. Hence, being avoidant and it leading the miscommunication.
Also, Aki confessing straight up and Haru not getting it relatable. This is a common thing with queer ppl? I had a close friend straight up saying ‘i like you’ but I just thought she was joking bc she’s usually the flirty type and I couldn’t tell the difference lol. So haru being so oblivious is not that unrealistic

I’m curious what’s it’s all about since these mangas/anime are considered as classics in bl. I’ve only read until vol 2 and so far the story is pretty interesting? It has the nostalgia from the early 00’s. Not liking the casual sexual harassment obviously (early bl troupes are wild) Tho I’m still interested to the manga plot-wise! Like I’m really curious how the characters relationship will develop here. But from the recent comments about them, I feel like I wanna wait until this ends

The story was well made, all the callbacks that made sense as the pieces were put together in the later chapters. It’s funny, wholesome, and heart wrenching when it needs to. Loved the main character! Maybe we could’ve explored more lore about angels being gods and how Taker experienced it.
I was also hoping we’d get to see sooho’s friend jia and her perspective like hyunwoo. Because we spent a lot of time hinting at their past and how she would react once sooho tells her everything bc she’s his dearest friend. We didn’t get to see all that process, only the aftermath that- ‘yeah sooho sees ghosts and has an angel as a lover apparently’. But that’s just a nitpick.
The story is still so good! I bawled my eyes near the end like damn

I love how them trying to ‘do it’ went horribly. Because that’s how it works irl. Your first isn’t going to be amazing. Usually mainstream bl semes say they don’t have experience and then be suddenly an expert with their first time.
This one was realistic and healthy at portraying it.
Second thing I like is when Kiichi found out about Ren’s past and didn’t shame him for it. Ukes in mainstream bl who’s ‘experienced’ usually are just treated as wh*res. I was worried at first when he left the bar without saying anything but turns out he just felt embarrassed that he’s still inexperienced

I read this manga so many years ago that I forgotten what the plot’s about and what made it so great like what many ppl before have given it much praise. I’m planning to re-read again. Can someone explain why they say this manga is a classic? What made this manga special compared to the other bl mangas in their time?

I think it was art (neat n clean) n where Akihito jumped from the building and Asami looking down at him in shock n amusement. It was big hit that time, Mafia n common in cat n mouse game
where Akihito being rebellious n Asami being amused by it. First in Yaoi, the feeling was so damn new back then about this manga, many had been created after this but no one comes near to it. ╥﹏╥

Comments weren’t kidding when they said this manga was cute. It’s fucking adorable and hilarious. Comedy aside, Momose’s seriously traumatized from his ex-boss, like bro the way he reacts to things (flinching or feeling nauseous) whenever it reminds him of ex-boss is actual trauma response.
Sometimes this is played of as a funny thing in the manga but the new boss being a natural airhead is such a refreshing change for him. The way momose was able to handle the shopping street (chap.14) bc his boss has given it a different meaning is really healing. It’s free therapy man.
Also love the way the other new co-worker came out as bi/pan so naturally (Ch.9.2 p.10)
I get that the manga is not entirely bl, but the chemistry is intentionally there and we all love it either way! It’s not a “no homo bro” moment, they actually just go with the flow when a not-so-straight moment happens. No fragile masculinity here!

bought my first ever physical manga with this one! Really hope someone translate the other chapters! Bc this is an absolute gem! Untranslated chapters:

They were so cute and I’m glad he owns up to his past mistakes to move on. But I definitely think the non-con scene was unnecessary. The attempted r*** wasn’t addressed again and the fucking glasses dude didn’t get to face the consequences after. I just wish they handled that sensitive topic properly. The rest of story was still cute tho
Yeah, like, what he did was shitty but that doesn’t mean he deserved to be raped for it. I already started to forgive him since the first chapter, seeing he was actually remorseful, so that prolonged rape scene was not needed
