Our FL is in denial about her Jade's feelings. as you've read, when jade told her about his ideal type, rather than presenting herself, she opted for her mother coz according to her "jade would have his own FL woth dark hair and is somewhat priestly.." she already has that in mind and thus rejects the possibility of Jade's feelings and dismisses it as "brotherly affection"
