I work in the hospital for 2 yrs now and you won't believe how many abandoned babies are left when the mom dies.
It's not even a tertiary hospital (i work in a secondary level hospital). Just last month, we had 6 abandoned babies. Last week, June 3, there was 1 newly abandoned baby.
That's just in our hospital. Imagine the numbers if we crunch it per month in a worldwide basis.
Fathers/husbands mostly won't like the child if they caused the death of their spouses and WE ALL KNOW THAT IT IS NOT THTHE CHILD'S FAULT. But really, some people can't care for someone who caused the pain. I know. It's their kid, but you have to AGREE, it is better to give up the child than take it and resent it.
Some cases of child abuse would sometimes root to ththe fact that "the kid caused the death of my wife".
Some people aren't meant to be parents and some people can't function right without their partners.
Some grandparents will resent the child too. So even if we call on the mother's/father's relatives (if contact info is available), they will refuse to have anything to do with the child.
Sad truth.
BUT! some kids that were abandoned in our hospital has been adopted by employees, doctors or other medical staffsヾ(☆▽☆).
Ps: the mother dying isn't the onky variable. Mostly it's also due to poverty and or the kid was the product of rape (coz abortion here is ILLEGAL, so moms would often carry the child and leave it or make someone adopt it).
Ps: NOT EVERY MONTH THERE'S AN ABANDONED BABY IN OUR HOSPITAL. Last month was just super high. Or in general, October or November. The chances of having abandoned babies are higher in those months.

Yeah~~♡ there was a baby who was adopted by a doctor WAYYYYYY BEFORE I STARTED WORKING (the adopted baby is OLDER than me. She's a nurse now and she also adoptet an abandoned child).

Wowwww y am I loving everyone in that hospital so much even tho idk where it is sighssssss I love the doctor bc he’s been doing it even back when quality of life isn’t even that good since adopting a child isn’t just about feeding them but also giving them proper care and edu like commitment sighsss I’m just so I awe that I can’t even describe how I’m feeling phew but tysm for sharing again!!
