Idk i don't feel good about it as it doesn't seem natural and feel quite forced to fit in the story by the author. Like you know force fed when u are getting full. It was nice witjout romance may it not be mc love interest but what can i say author has the decision
The more I think of it, since it feels like we're nearing the end. Author probably just wants him to have a happy ending with his old and a new family.
Maybe it was the editor who wanted romance to be incorporated in the story no matter what. I don't feel this was forced because the girl was clearly in love with MC from way back and it was, in fact, realistic to portray her declaring her love on the last day she was supposed to see MC. It sucks and it's cliché that the papparazzi caught them and blew everything out of proportion, but again, I don't think this will end in the MC getting together with her for now. Maybe afterwards.
