This story is so interesting cause while the parents absolutely suck I can understand why the mother would not be able to love her r*pist child especially if they look like the horrible scum that he is. Explains her actions doesn't justify the child abuse is never justifiable.
I just wish she put them out for adoption if she was going to allow them to be abused to horrible for paying for a sin they didn't even commit. This is so sad, I feel so much for the twins.
I know adoption system isn't the greatest but having a chance for a normal life after getting adopted is much better than being abused daily never even being taught to read from the moment you could even form memories.
It was probably because they are afraid of getting any stigmatism of putting up ypur child up for adoption since technically they can still provide for them financially and its not like the entire family broke apart.
Putting them up for adoption makes it very obvious they do not want them, rather than they cant keep them.

So the brother Im not the biggest fan of the flirt character who flirts with everyone woman he sees but it seems to be a different situation than Initially thought.

Meh, I don’t think the emperor deserves her. He neglected the hell out of her, and it really seems like he only started caring cause she molded herself into what he wanted at the time. She clearly doesn’t feel comfortable with him and doesn’t see him as a father at all. The other guy seemed to not have known her existence and even though he was rude at first it seemed out of genuine lack of knowledge rather than taking out your own personal issues on someone. I understand your feelings towards the emperor he wasn't a good guy. He said she should die quietly as a rat and to any child that is scaring. But I am also aware that while he only liked her because of what she forced herself to do. But I am also thinking there were many times he wanted her to act normally it's his fault for never expressing it. But I do think now he is actually expressing it and it's her decision if she belives it's too late, but I think it's unfair for us not her to believe his love for her would dissappear the moment she stops acting like before. I mean she alrdy kinda has and he is desperately trying to keep his relationship with her from her false behaviours but his affection was still real.
In the end it's all the emperor's fault, regardless of his grief completely ignoring your child blood related or not is completely evil and the mc can choose whether she wants to start a new relationship with him or not.

No one said his “love” for her would disappear if she stopped acting like it. I do think he genuinely cares for her now, but I believe he only STARTED to care because of the way she forced herself to act. That’s my issue. It’s always the same in those kind of stories, fathers are either neglectful or abusive, and they only start caring about their kids when they show ambition or potential (or act a certain way, like suck up to them). I don’t like neglect being forgiven or overlooked, that’s why I’m really glad that the FL actually does believe it’s too late and she’s not going to forgive him. It’s refreshing.

I'm not saying she has to forgive him and he def needs to do more but I think he has the highest path of forgiveness than others.
