It's not peak. Its a very good story but the main couple is so toxic to each other its hard to stomach sometimes. Uke abuses and isolates the seme and same love bombs and wants to drive uke into absolute co-dependance. All in all, its up to your taste. If you are looking for angst, go for it, if you are looking for a healthy relationship and/or fluff I don't recommend it.

Truly, they have done some of the nastiest things I've ever seen to each other. Again, if you are a fan of angst with a pseudo-happy (because I honestly don't think they should've ended up together) end, you will enjoy it because the story and characters are very well crafted but if you want healthy dynamic and green flag characters stay away. Everyone is PROFOUNDLY flawed here, and nobody truly redeems themselves or even apologizes by the end of it.

PREACHHHH u took the words right out of my mouth, i think people have a serious problem with getting too parasocial with the characters, the story and the character development is pretty good but doesn’t take away the heinous things Taeju did, even if he feels bad about it, the character himself even mentions it after they lost the baby
You are free to like and dislike any characters, to have your own point of view and to share it here. I kinda agree with your irritation when I read comments like "seme is actually a total green flag". Although I do like seme character a lot and I find him irresistible charming, but still it is an insult to all good guys to call a rapist and a thug "a green flag". Seme definitely is not a proper guy with clean conscience. The reason I like him so much is that the author truly managed to make seme realize the whole shit he had done to uke and suffer from the constant guilt and fear. This is such a rare case in manga when I do feel that the shithead truly repents, empathizes with his victim and feels hurt. That it actually feels like seme really loves uke.
