Could be better in terms of complex feelings. They are a bit raw, maybe shallow (?) about the big elephant in the room. Its important to talk about both MC e ML past, talk about abuse and rape beeing so different than BDSM or any kinky in the hands of someone respectfull. The author made seems like it all belongs in ONE big circle, without any profound and complex feelings…
i think its quite telling of the author’s lack of understanding of bdsm. to them, it is the same circle. whereas to the people who enjoy and safely practice such kinks, it is so far removed abuse that its not even comparable. but i think the authors lack of education was clear from the start. the way equipment like clamps and cuffs were used was so stupid and ill prepared that i cringed and had to dnf.
