sorry, long comment but I gotta give it to the author
im NEVER usually scared or get chills when reading anything horror related (I have a strong stomach) but something about the ghost, entity, whatever it is terrifies me. especially because of the lack of dialogue the author gives him. im speculating why his presence is so frightening in this story is because the plot/world in this manhwa itself doesn't outright tell you its supernatural elements from the get-go. It literally gaslights you to think "maybe the black haired guy is just quiet, so thats why no one pays attention to him"..... no, he conceals himself & distorts others memories from him except for the MC. and when the MC finds that out its a "oh shit, that thing is dangerous" moment.

exactly! the story itself doesn't try to humanize him whatsoever. it strips away the inflection that he's human as soon as they (and the readers) start to realize that he's not. they heavily imply that it's a "thing" and not something to relate or empathize with. it's a "thing", an entity that if you think hard enough and look closer, is separate from us.

this is SO similar to my comment when i first started reading. i RARELY get even the slightest bit scared when reading stories on here but this one for some reason just creeped me tf out. heโs so ominous and i genuinely cannot tell what heโs thinking. the author does a great job and at portraying him to be very uncanny valley which i have yet to be seen represented so well other than this story personally speaking. its like you know somethingโs off about him but you just canโt pinpoint it.

there's so MANY people irl like the ML and its actually maddening how they treat you and the relationship. they completely misunderstand being in an exclusive relationship as just "having a good time and seeing where that takes them" .... like the ML genuinely gives me PTSD especially the "situationship" community.
I LOVE YAOI
