this was pretty cute. not sure why it has so many mixed reactions. it's a simple story about childhood friends who're also each others' first love. i loved the art style too, and takeru's character was so likable. i could resonate with him in a way because of how relatable his personality was written.
ofc since it's the seme getting raped, it isn't seen as a big deal :|
i genuinely hope that isn't the case bc he doesn't deserve that.
this was a great, stories like this make me remember why historical-esque is my favorite genre. though the ending could've been a bit more, stronger?

idk, it's just, when they talk to each other, it flows so nicely.
i love art styles that have pops of color here and there. like reck's old style, gwa-in's, and parkdam's. it's just so much more of a vibe as opposed to full blown color stories, yk?
(and i noticed that during the initmate scenes, the author uses a warmer color palette. like a reddish pink undertone? it's a very nice touch.)
i've never felt so sympathetic for a character until hozumi. he lived through his childhood alone and neglected and yet, he grew up to be an amazing person. he's so sweet and caring, and absolutely deserves the world. i just wish he could be happier, it hurts my heart seeing him so sad.
i swear, i had to do a double take reading this bc i thought the MCs kept changing their haircolors lmao.
