Although I'm fine with Perez I have to admit that him being a prince and future emperor makes me feel kind of iffy...I really don't see a reason why Tia had be written as both the empress AND family head. She would have had just as much power just being the head of the family. Perez could have been written in as the illegitimate child of some noble instead of the angsty abandoned prince!! (.┰ω┰.)
Him being a simple noble could hinder her rights to be family head since he could possibly take that place and the Lombardi name would be at risk. But it is a very iffy situation.

Asterod is the only one that could have filled up the ML's spot LOL she had no childhood friends only animals and her family. Asterod was the only non-related person there by her side and he was the FIRST person to ever love her. You could make a case for the demon but Asterod is just a better option.
