Is that the step-brother isn't human. He's some kind of forest deity/demon who can control the minds of others (+a few other powers), and likely wants to take the soul of the MC after he unknowingly made a deal with him as a kid. I think he needs the MC to come with him willingly tho, so that's why he doesn't use his powers on him. And the Sunbae seems to be immune to the mind control, hmmm interesting

The more I read the more I'm convinced the older brother is some creepy entity without human emotion that's gonna go full psychological horror mode on the MC and his lover.
It's been slowly building with him getting more and more creepy, and I'm pretty sure he just tried to kill the seme by summoning that puddle on the stairs lol.
MY guess is it'll backfire and only bring the two closer. But yeah, I'm sensing some psychological horror coming ヾ(☆▽☆)

I think im going into tinfoil territory but for sure the black haired guy is not human but supernatural. Its obvious that he can manipulate how he looks like to others and Hanjoo is the only one that can see his true face. Hanjoo is seen as dark and creepy by others except Sunbae which is why they became friends. In the raws, sunbae is the only one who sees him as bright and handsome, literally everyone else feels something off about Hanjoo. Sunbae thinks Hanjoo should be popular bc of his looks but no one else thinks that. I think the black haired guy masked Hanjoo’s image (similar to himself) when he was young to prevent him from being close with others but only sunbae is immune to it. Just a theory.

Idk...
I think the story is interesting, but I'll never be able to forgive Aelock for what he did. And I don't think he deserves happiness when poor Raphael, who never hurt anyone, had to die so painfully and lose his unborn child. I don't want to see him suffer, but I also don't think he deserves love and family.
Tbh the only satisfying end I can think off is some sort of random time travel where Aelock gets to go back in time and undo his horrible actions.

I don't see a win here. Its too far gone for everything. This man lost his wife and child then made the perpetrator bare his children. I'm honestly surprised he was loving. Even if he was sent back too the past after this I don't know how how he would be able to function. But I guess that would also be a part of the retribution he seeks.

"Hani" is not related to the company CEO and his real name and origin is actually unknown. 18 years ago the CEO started falsely claiming he had an omega son named Han Sangyul in order to promote his hormonal pharmaceuticals company and gain more investments/earn more money. But they never showed this son's face to the public, because he didn't actually exist. The company took in a bunch of kids hoping they could make them into omegas with the experiments they did on them, and pretend one of them was Han Sangyul. The only kid who survived the experiments was Hani, so they gave him the name and kept trying to make him an omega. But even though he survived the experiments, the tests still said he didn't become an omega.
Since they've been unable to produce an omega the company stands to lose a LOT of money and investments, so they instead made a plan to make sure no one ever finds out there is no omega son and get money from the royal family instead. The plan was to run a secret smear campaign against the prince who is an alpha, painting him as promiscuous and problematic in the media, and then pressure him into getting engaged to Han Sangyul, the only omega in the country and therefore the only compatible person for him (who never actually existed). Then they plan to break off the engagement after a few months, before anyone finds out he's not an omega, but claim it was the prince's fault so they can ask for monetary compensation for the prince damaging Han Sangyul's reputation and making him unmarriable to any one else.
The CEO decides to make his bastard son named Kim Chulsoo, whom he had with another woman, change his identity to that of Han Sangyul's, and be the one to enter the palace to carry out the plan as the promised bride. This is bc he loves him and wants to introduce him to the public as a legitimate son of his, which he obviously needs to have the same surname as him to do (Han).
This meant our Hani needed a new name, so he was given Kim Chulsoo's name instead. They decided he should accompany the real Kim Chulsoo/new fake Han Sangyul to the palace under the pretence of a study buddy, bc exposing him to an alpha might influence how the drugs in his system react.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to understand lol. Hope this helps anyone still struggling with it (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

This isn't even about his indifference to Jeha, it's just his I Don't Care attitude in general. There are situations in which I love him for having that attitude, because it makes him a tough and badass MC, but it feels like he's indifferent to basically everything which makes it hard for me to get emotionally invested in the story. He didn't care about being (almost) forced into prostitution, he very quickly got over the news that his sister was in a coma and spent days playing kinky cosplay games instead of worrying about her etc. etc. In general I feel like the story has a tonal problem, all the serious subjects get immediately brushed under the carpet and replaced by comedy (and smut).
I wish the author would let us see a more vulnerable Mongryong from time to time, bc it's very hard for me to care about a MC's hardships and whether he ends up together with the male lead or not, when he himself doesn't care.

Mongryong's indifference is a defense mechanism. There's more layer to than not giving a fuck and i think thats pretty clear after reading more chapter of this manhwa. I get a feeling that he's a wreck but he bundles it up tightly in sex and clear disregard of his safety. Despite the clear detachment from everything, he still tries to make the line clear by saying what he wants in the relationship. He's been pretty upfront about it, its just the other person that had a hard time dealing with such detachment. I feel bad but at the same time thats just how relationship work sometimes. You can feel mutual love and adoration to other person only to find out, its one sided.

Idk if your reply is to me, bc my comment isn't even about his relationship with Jeha or about him as a person. It's about the author's tonal choices with the story, which are definitely most severe with Mongryong's indifference, but you see it with Jeha and all the side characters too.
Realistic feelings and seriousness is something the author is trying too hard to avoid, despite putting some pretty serious subjects in their story. Everyone's so unpredictable and "wacky" for comedic effect even in really serious situations. Had it been any other webtoon I would have read that scene where he almost got raped by that old man with a racing heart and fear, but I felt indifferent when reading it here, bc Mongryong was indifferent and showed no real fear. I was convinced that even if it did happen Mongryong was just gonna make a joke about it and move on like nothing. That's bad storytelling imo. The audience needs to care. You can easily have him be indifferent to certain things like relationships and romance, but still have him react realistically to getting pimped out or almost raped.
The indifference slows down the story development and affects the emotional tone of the story for me, but if you enjoy it that's great.

Totally Agreed. Lmao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I also read mangas/manhwas/manhuas like you. And sometimes when I comment, it creates slight misunderstandings. Coz reading from a broader objective perspective and reading from characters’ subjective perspective can create different perceptions as far as output on this kind of creative work is concerned. There’s no wrong or right way about it, it’s just personal style of reading (⌒▽⌒)

The author isn't even doing anything with them, like they have no purpose, no storyline, no conflict, no development, no real plot. It's just 2 random guys fucking. Every time the story switches to them I feel myself wanting to rate the story one star less.
I guess they're a plot device for the author to throw some smut into the story before the main couple becomes a thing, but it's really boring tbh

I just finished this story and wow I'm really disappointed. That last rape scene was completely random and unnecessary. Jihyuk had already left the story 20 chapters ago, so why tf did he have to randomly come back just to rape Hyesung again? It just feels like a really offensive and cheap plot device to add some last bit of drama to the story before ending it.
And to make matters worse the author had the nerve to graphically illustrate how Hyesung got mf HARD from being raped. HARD from being forced into intercourse with someone other than his boyfriend folks. Actually forget about disappointed, I'm disgusted. That's just not right. What a waste of an otherwise good story.

The ending is really dragging the story down for me. I'm left with more questions than answers, and the whole thing just doesn't really make any sense to me.
Like why did Yeonwoo's parents have that cursed mirror room to begin with? They didn't seem to know anything about the body parts living in them when they got killed, so that doesn't make sense to me. Why would they have all those mirrors if they didn't know? And if they did know, then why would they lock their son in there for hours?
And why did Taejun forget all this? In the flashback both him and Yeonwoo were actually happy with the outcome rather than traumatized. So there's literally no believable explanation for his amnesia.
Also why does Yeonwoo and Taejun have to keep killing people (swallowing) with the mirrors? It's not like they're gonna drop dead if they don't. Like the parents I sorta get cause they wanted to separate them, but why did the professor and all his friends have to die? Idgi. It wasn't well explained imo

The author is repeatedly just casually adding rape or attempted rape scenes without them having any consequences for the characters or relationships... like wtf? Why add them in the first place then?
The bottom dude who raped the first uke at that party - zero consequences for that guy and the uke moves on like it never even happened.
The psycho stalker who threatened to rape the first uke on the rooftop - zero consequences for him and he actually wins the heart of the second uke!
The constant raping of the first uke by the first seme - he makes an ambiguous apology and is then rewarded by winning his heart. Not to mention the uke was seen getting off on most of the raping...
This story is sick and it's sad that so many yaoi authors use the same toxic rape tropes.
"Jerk" doesn't even begin to describe the seme in this story. He's a full blown sociopath who only cares about having a hole to fill, and is non stop abusive to the uke. It's been 30+ chapters and there's ZERO romance, ZERO redeemable qualities of the seme, and ZERO connection between the two main characters. Just toxic abusive sex scenes one after another.
It's practically hentai, except there's nothing sexy or stimulating about the sex scenes since they're so abusive and non-con. The author literally even points out how the uke is not even hard half of the time. I seriously question authors who write sexualized abusive trash like this. Does he/she think non-con and sexual abuse is hot? Because ew. Ngl I judge anyone who enjoys this HARD.
Jaekyung is the most ARROGANT ml ever in Yaoi, and we've seen a lot of toxic and fucked up mls in that genre. His attitude and facial expressions make him detestable and look like he only cares about his dick. That rude behavior makes him look like some immature THUG. If if was the author's intention to show him in that light, then great job.
Maybe authors who write such stories want to show how the power of love (and especially sex) can change trashes into better persons...? Even though I must say, arrogance seem so deep rooted in his persona that it'll be funny seeing him otherwise. If anything, he'll just become possessive towards mc.
I'm afraid Dan already fell for the bastard, cause in the latest chapters mc was hard and blushed... So... And he blushes just because the guy has the looks, that's cringy if you want my opinion. At least, like him for one good reason
If you think this is bad.
You should read "An Easy Target" and "Non Zero Sum"
Bro. Stop. Easy Target just gave me ptsd war flashbacks....I will never forget it aaaaaaa
I'm sorry
But I had to say. There are worse semes that Jaekyung
They should also read “Pearl Boy” “Roses and Champayne” “Legs that wont work”
Jaekyung is innocent compared to the guys here. Lmao. You ain't see shit.
Exactly. THANK YOU
Even the ex in See you again is worse
