I’m not the biggest fan of Gunjoon, ngl. I’m mostly here for the long haired cutie. But I feel like this was a necessary step for their relationship development. Gunjoon is very insecure right now and Jungseok is always being vague and mysterious. I can’t blame Gunjoon for overhearing these things and developing more and more doubts. He and Jungseok obviously seem to go about relationships in very different ways. They just need to sit down and talk to each other properly, please and thank you!
Tbf, GJ was already doubtful even before he overheard others. It all started when JS went AWOL on him and when GJ simply asked what happened, JS cannot give a convincing reason. It was obvious he was lying. The things people told him simply pushed him to finally confront JS and stop delaying it.
