Haha if it's the friend, I think it's because she intruded or she acted out of line like asking if he has real gf or not or if the black haired boy is his bf. Stuff like that ╮(￣▽￣)╭

It's more directed towards the woman with black hair. She kind of wanted him to tell the girl with white hair that he's gay so that the girl with white hair can give up on him. A rejection is a rejection, he doesn't have to give her any "real reason" just so she can give up.

I think some of the women in this story are decent. I’m all for variety. I don’t think the mangaka is actively slandering women as a whole. I don’t get the hate lol.

She wanted him to come out as gay so her friend can give up on him. When he didn't want to, she scolded him for being selfish. Her actions were very rude towards a coworker (who even helped her out at the aquarium) and selfish.

im soo late but aizawa-san is an angel for the most part. her friend, however, was wayy out of line. it's not a gender issue, she's just being rude as fuck. he's obviously not ready to come out to the girl, so he covered it up with a lie. is it so hard to respect his decision? "you need to give her a real reason". he's not obligated to return her feelings, nor does he need to explain himself. if someone turns you down, then move on.
