I mean in Ian’s defense he knew the church is gonna kill him in the prophecy. He probably thought the only way to avoid that was by turning him into a thrall like him. It was out of his control that Vercikie wouldn’t be able to finish the job in 1 go. And all those other deaths were kind of out his control too, he was trying to get Ken to Vercikie

yeah i was annoyed too, but like that’s his only family so i kinda understand him. like if i found out my brother was like a terrorist or something, i would understand him having to pay but i woukdnt want him dead yknow. same with ken, even when he thought ian died all he wanted was to hold a funeral for him because that’s his brother at the end of the day

Same mixed feelings with this one, but he is still family I will personally smack and beat him up but I don't want him dead, in prison maybe but not dead XD

I don't know the story because I jumped somewhere random from a panel I found. But, when I saw that ML had killed the MC's brother and was trying to guilt trip and gaslight the MC into forgiving him and complying with his own agenda, I was deeply repulsed. From what I can tell from this thread his brother wasn't out to hurt him, he had his own plans to help his brother. If I have surmised correctly, the mc doesn't really know enough about either side to make a real choice, right. He is only with the ML's side because the ML wants to fuck him and use him for his own purposes. Knowing that MC will have to eventually get together and be all lovey dovey with his brother's murderer and act as if his brother is inconsequential compared keeping the boytoy happy, because that's what the author wants, I ditched the sinking ship. No matter how much you disagree with your family, they are still family. It would have been impossible for me to tolerate the company of anyone who tried to hurt them, even if they had good reasons to do. And most people, that aren't fresh out of reading a deviant romance story and still under control of the author's word, would feel the same way.

Yeah u should really read the whole story. I agree at some parts but as someone who have shitty parents, can't really agree with the "family is still family" with the way u put it. In Season 1, no one was truly right between Ian & Agia. Agia was on his way to woo Ken (atp there still wasn't any love between them, Agia sees it as duty) and was ambushed by the vampires, Ian included. As a vampire hunter, I can't really blame Agia here for defending himself & afaik he doesn't know who Ian was. Ken, prob the most mature & logical & somehow still full of love charac here, doesn't blame Agia for this but it puts a strain in their relationship and he asks for a funeral. He does this while knowing Ian lied to him and was a hypocrite. You can be mad at Agia but he's also a victim of the church's propaganda. All he wants is to fulfill the prophecy and die. This is ofc before he actually progressed his relationship with Ken at the present.
