I think part of the reason why a lot of ppl still can't stand ML is his lack of expression and Negative Memory Bias. like I get that he's supposed to be subtle or his emotions subdued, but girl the only times we rly get to see him experience strong emotion are when he's angry (specifically the betrayal when he found out MC is a prophet).
This one moment (in addition to how unexpected his reaction was) persists more strongly in our minds than all the sweet moments collectively. Where chasing arcs usually consist of loud exclamations of love or vulnerable moments meant to encourage empathy, ML in this story was (quite literally) just chasing mc after banishing him. So not only did it feel like a sucker punch, but ML's bizarre logic behind his actions proceeding the banishment felt like salt in the wound
Maybe it's the art direction, maybe it's the writing. But for sure, the chasing, while decent/resolved on paper, feels somewhat lacking or underwhelming in the grand scheme of the story
i wish ml found mc before the award. Kind of a slap to the face to the network that kept nominating him for his reaction every time they awarded someone else. refuse the award and diminish it's prestige (but i get it awards are important ig but still)
But from what I'm reading basically the team left their guide behind in the ss class dungeon and they were all like Mormon sister-wives marriedare we deadass?
It would be really really funny if the blonde kid saying "this is the last chapter" was actually foreshadowing and the story actually ended in the next chapter
