how 50 shades was a twilight fanfic? reading this felt like that. like I was reading a fanfic based off of an equally mid manga
comments: morality war, degens gooning, kek
how's everyone sleep on how raw the fight/action parts are?? mc's character model aside, the energy the art brings is unironically leagues better than a lot of shounen action mangas.
jfc talk about arrested development the characters in the first story were just so embarassing and pathetic
Author is gonna have to work a miracle to fix this story after that dogshit ending Ive been holding out hope since the story ended but my expectations are not high
i love how tenacious and level headed (for the most part) he is. His pragmatism facing the difference in power and class instantly separates him from mcs in other stories of the same genre that treat power dynamics as an afterthought. Like we as readers are aware of how ML views extramarital relationships, but MC is fully cognisant that the current state of the their relationship has an exparation date, despite never discussing it with ML. Taking advantage of it and enjoying what he can instead of letting it get in the way of his professional life and spiraling is just so refreshing to see
that the other guy MC likes doesnt turn out to be crazy too or get hypnotised by the brother
the abuser wishing that MC smiled more feels like the author cupped a fart in their hand and shoved it in my face
just when you think things can't possibly get messier, the author says bet and releases a chapter that makes you second guess all your life choices that've lead up to the moment of you reading this
this manga is basically:
"I'm gonna kiss you so hard" (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
"No, I'M gonna kiss YOU so hard" (凸 ̄皿 ̄)凸
MC's buff management skills remind me sm of Bravely Default and the constant stacking for flashy one hits
gave up on the plot forever ago. now I just read for the smut with the same sick fascination people have for shows like 'my strange addiction' or 'dance moms'
sure the 2nd couple's story had a more compelling plot but even the author admitted that they had no intentions of redeeming Seonwoo and that they were pushed to continue by the producer. mb thats why i personally didn't really feel much in terms of 'character development' from him...bc it was mostly an afterthought lmao like yeah first couple's story felt kinda bland in comparison, but at least the characters were likeable honestly I just feel like Tae-seo deserved more love bc both stories wouldn't be shit wo him if Seonwoo was set up w literally any one else, the second couple would not be getting as much praise as it is rn. that's how hard that XL himbo carries this story
even though it's around a BL couple the story feels mostly BL adjacent. Like yes it's abt the two boys, but author put it best in ch30 in that it's definitely more of a coming of age story. like even tho the side stories concern their relationship, they're more about how they're dealing w the experience than actually depicting it (as one might expect from side chs).
not even 5 questions in and clothes are already coming off this story refuses to be serious for longer than like two minutes
get your deadbeat ass out the story already no one here likes you
can't imagine how conflicted ml is feeling rn. I mean yay for development but mc's actions are probably super confusing especially considering ml only recently decided to try and get over him for good
like i get that it's mc's "jump first" personality (idk maybe I missed smth) but he didn't even know ml's feelings towards the 'person' he mentioned that he liked, let alone consider the thought that maybe ml might not be open to dating hopefully I'm wrong and just overthinking it but if I know anything about slow burns, we're in for more turmoil and slow burning right when things feel like they're looking up
