It’s both a guilty pleasure and my biggest pet peeve.
It’s the, they abused and hurt me either mentally, physically or even both but I eventually go back to them and come to love them.
There were times I wish you were dead did this type of story well, where she got to live alone and heal and come to terms with feelings of the past and the emotion of love there.
Here it just seems like it’s going to continue the cycle of, ‘these two dudes are obsessed with me and will do whatever suits their needs in getting me under their thumb.’ Even if the black haired one is going to use the , ‘I’ll beg like a dog to get her to feel bad for me and take me back.’ Or he’ll play the, ‘they’re my kids and heir to the throne so they come with me and that means you too.’

If she minds her business then things will just turn out the same. Having to deal with the royals is messy, but preventing the crown prince from getting tangled up with bad people will eventually help her down the line. Since he won’t end up betrayed and his shitty second brother won’t rise to power.
He can’t understand why Edgar would go so far for someone? Maybe it’s because he has EMPATHY? A girl locked in the tower against her will and can’t escape no matter how badly she wants to. It just goes to show that the burden of the crown is too much to bear for a single person.

Hmm, I'm sorry but did you miss the part in which she was a WAR PRISONER? Kings kept foreign royals hostage after war all the time as a form of insurance against attacks or even to settle newly occupied territories, it's nothing new. Regardless of his own feelings for the OG MC, if his memories are true and he originally raised Edgar with love and saw him as a son, its totally justifiable that he will feel betrayed and hurt when he turned his sword on him for a daughter of an enemy nation that he barely knows. People just don't abandon their loving families for love. It sounds romantic and crap but in truth its very naive and impractical, especially if Edgar was being trained to succeed the throne (probably even had a fiancee all things considered). Like it would make sense even without the king's already existing trauma with his other siblings. And knowing that in this life, he distances himself from Edgar. It makes sense 100%.
Dang if that’s a spoiler that sucks, but why use it on all of them? Guess we’ll have to wait and see if it was for some specific reason or she just wanted a harem of men.
People do that all the time in these stories, what are you talking about? It’s purely fictional, and the author is adding all this for a dramatic plot.
Like I said Edgar has empathy, since he WAS raised with love and affection akin to a father. So he would of course feel bad for a young girl being taken as a war prisoner and being forced to do who knows what by the tower mage since he was interested in her. Most likely what her special power is since her siblings all have one.
I also wrote that the crown is a burden for a single person, so I can understand his stance in needing to be distant and crushed by Edgar’s betrayal. I’m just giving a reason why Edgar is doing what he’s doing, even if it’s impractical and childish.

(You can even plant fake evidence it’s not hard whoa)
And don’t even get me started on the emperor I know his emotions are clouding his judgement but it’s so annoying you are the EMPEROR. The one who can put the empress in place and strip her of all her power. If the empresses dad starts acting up, you as the eMpErOr can put him in his place too!
All for the sake of keeping their dignity and honor they let this little girl suffer over and over again it’s truly pathetic.
Omg I know right the story is good... But they seem to drag all this unnecessary things all I've the place I wish the emperor Is scheming this or the duke or shushu bcz why not if I were her I'd use my time alone to practice my handling of the spiritual power and try to execute my own plan to bring the empress and her demon daughter down but what can we do we're just readers
They wanna have a big payout, where it’s the final climax and after all of the bad things come to fruition and she’s put on trial.
And then the everything is well and good and she’s finally truly at peace.
Which is cool and all, but I’m tired of the same big finale from every single one of these comics. Like if they still wanna go that route, have the mom in her final moments sacrifice both her and her daughter to summon their new god and boom.

It gets super repetitive…. I know this is a feel good cooking manga, but they had that teeny tiny plot at the beginning with the miasma and Saintess helping to clear it. And I’d like to have more substance then just constantly cooking and going mmm yum about the food.
I think what’s worse is that even the cooking is rushed? Either make it completely about food or give us plot
Oh wow you’re right, I went back to look and there’s barely any imagery of the cooking process.
I’ve been so spoiled with other mangas with the same cooking, but better and with plot that this just falls flat.
