Yall make the blue haired guy sound VICIOUS I'm sure it's not that serious like boy

It never ceases to amaze me the excuses people make for these types of plots and their characters. This author and others like it frame actual inappropriate and in this dangerous elements of “loving bombing” , assault, harassment, etc all as “cute” and continue to perpetuate visualization of romantic love in harmful and even dangerous depictions of love all in the name of romantic pursuit. If people point out that the entertainment we consume is a reflection of our ideals, and that in this case the ideals of the author’s idea of romantic love mean being subject to Cheong-hyeon’s fake sincerity and harassment as being anything other than a cause for criticism, it is defended in posts like your own continuing the desensitization of rape culture, harassment, and power balance that this genre in particular has a deep affinity for celebrating and rewarding. You can like what you like but stop discouraging moments of education and nuanced opinion just because it annoys you having to be brought back into reality, that fiction does in fact have influence.

Well considering the premise of the story it's just— ha, not THAT level of seriousness, I'm just putting the spotlight on THIS story, on THESE characters. Becuase yes, I get what you mean, but this is... just- oh my god, you're right but it's REALLY nit that bad here, atleast me personally I don't think the black haired guy is vicious or inherently evil like people are saying, sure he seems like a shitty and annoying guy but not evil like other bl characters (that jinx guy for example, literal assualters and rapists)

I am not trying to be argumentative and make entire moral judgments based of off one opinion post, I just want you and others consider how your words affect how this genre continues to reward this type of storytelling and ultimately shifts this genre even further into incentivizing authors to follow suite into rape apology as we’ve seen this genre steady decline into full acceptance.
He seems sly and like a tease, maybe a mild narcissistic but not an abuser like yall are saying so errrrr
