The romance doesn't have to be mutual tho, Kayden doesn't have to like her. Gestella is also denying that she likes Kayden (or at least not aware of it) and that's what makes it a good pairing for me, especially with their history and all. I's the chemistry, the sparks. Jiwoo × Jiyoung's case however doesn't have that kind of chemistry, and even if you say it's mutual love between them. First of all the age gap, ik it's only 2-3 years but when you think about it they're both in diff stages of their lives, second she has little to no personality, this is not me saying it bc I'm a hater cuz I'm literally her fan, but the way they build her character is a straight line. What she was earlier in the series is what she is still now, tbf she doesn't need a character development but that what makes it bland about her.
