Well tbh chapters 70 and 72 seem more to me it’s like an obsessive LOVE. Hence hun confessing, and ML feeling uncomfortable having to say it while also thinking of MC. If it was only just familial type of love, then he wouldn’t have felt that way. As well as sute saying in 72, that he and MC are the same with their love.
The puppet definitely did die, his last appearance is right after ML tells the guard to cut his body into pieces. I do believe sute died in chapter 91 as a sacrifice, which summoned the god.
