Just came back to dump out my thoughts. I really loved this. It’s my first time reading something like it, so if you have any recommendations for similar or even better stories, I’d really appreciate it.
I don’t want either of them to change. I don’t want the lawyer to soften, and I don’t want the teacher to be the one who “saves” him. They’re both GONNA be awful people in their own ways, but I think that’s exactly it should work. If they’re cruel, let them be cruel. If they make each other worse, then so be it. If he wants to make her worse, that doesn’t mean he’s ruining her. (Kinda does tho)
This isn’t exactly a romance, but there’s something strangely romantic about how the lawyer sees her—like she shines in his eyes. He doesn’t see her as worthless, maybe a prize for him, a gift he never received?, and that’s kind of twistedly beautiful. Love this, please update soon!!!

song-Rik and jinhyeong were written to be relatable, so it’s not fair to completely blame either of them. their actions didn’t just come out of nowhere—they were shaped by what they’ve been through.
When I say they’re relatable, I mean it in the rawest sense—because so many people know what it’s like to grow up in a deeply broken home. And when you’ve lived through something like that, it’s hard to blame them.
