It cus the manwha is portraying this arc so bad. In the novel Ediths her mental state and feeling of defeat was much more intense and laid out for readers which made it way less corny

Not really enjoyed more the backstory but I enjoyed both. I mean, this backstory in necessary in the first place cos that is the plot, and that is all where it started. A lot of times I've seen here readers are complaining they want Ian back when technically speaking, they are one haha. Its like, he has amnesia. I am just sooooo sad with what happened to Brian and Sol, no wonder Sol is so kind and appreciative. Far from old him, and when Brian said not to seek revenge and he did just that. T_T, and when he said something like he wanted Sol to enjoy everything that he left cos that is the sole reason why he did those in the first place. (▰˘◡˘▰)
