I'm not saying you're wrong but this feels like a cultural thing. I've seen that in a lot of Asian properties. Movies, TV shows, mangas etc... I think it's just a different culture and a different way of viewing love. It's hard to judge an entire culture and tell them the way they love is wrong. It's just different from us. I'm sure some of the things we do are strange to them as well.
