Okay it was cute but also had to approach it with a “don’t think too much about it just read it lightheartedly” way otherwise it was bugging me that he spent way too long into the story focused on the goal of eating his dreams while knowing it could be fatal if they’re already not in a good condition KNOWING already he’s sick as fuck, like for someone that’s been in human society since middle school and had genuine connections with them (even if the breakup with the old friend was messy) it was way without a conscience to still focus on wanting his dreams knowing just how bad his sickness is and that he’s barely gotten a bit better and stable enough to go to uni, like bro every activity you’ve been doing you know it’s his first time cause of how bad it was HOW DID IT TAKE THAT LONG INTO THE STORY FOR HIM TO DECIDE NOT TO TARGET HIM

And the reincarnation backstory ending was unnecessary cause it’s like it’s tryna artificially add reasons to ship them cause “oh they’re soulmates with so many past lives they’re finally happy in this one” like no bro just let the story stand for itself,,,, special episode au? Sure do that but don’t tie it into the main story as part of it, it just cheapens the main story …. but at least unlike hosiks story they just both lived a new life now, at least it wasn’t again a case of the top remembering and manipulating mc into a relatIonship just cause they’re fated while only mc remembers nothing…

Also I did like how it was resolved quickly that Mara was the reason for the sickness with the snake, but mc insisted he shouldn’t blame himself cause he was a kid and it was an accident its fine MOVING ON, where in other comics he would be beating himself up and deciding on his own that ohhh mc is better off without me I’m gonna pack up and leave even tho the relationship’s been good and we finally solved his issue, I need to punish myself by leaving him except not thinking how that’d also hurt mc ooooo…..

As a story this was pretty interesting the characters felt realistic

But most of the story I was pissed with Alex

Ok vol 1 okay Cole isn’t mentally healthy and minus the gun stuff everything else was standard insecurity rooted self sabotage and like yes, the things he said like telling him if he’s not enough he can go be with girls too,,, sure it’d feel outta nowhere and hurtful to hear from a partner but then after that it should’ve gotten into Alex that Cole is insanely insecure and he wasn’t saying that as a rejection of Alex but because he cant imagine beign happy and having everything he wants so he feels like he can and should settle for less, like being Alex’s second etc, he should’ve gotten how insanely insecure he is and yet on a supposedly couples trip knowing Lily made Cole uncomfortable he still invited her to hang out with them the entire trip? Knowing Cole is gay and couldn’t possibly want her kissing him he didn’t recognize it as assault, didn’t pull her away from him and stop hanging out with her? Kept her around enough for her to fuck with both their minds? Allowed her to straddle him?? Like are you kidding me? He’s feeling offended Cole would possibly believe he’d cheat on him but he’s letting things go this far?…. And it’s not about Cole not trusting Alex in his mind and his worst case fears occupying his thoughts, and yet you go and trust the words of this KNOWN TO BE MALICIOUS woman over Cole’s words from his own mouth? And what’s the reason youre suddenly acting all different and distant with him after the trip? What the FUCK did Cole do NOW? If he didn’t believe you’d cheat before then acting all distant and suspicious after spending time with her while Cole slept I wouldn’t blame Cole for NOW actually thinking something happened..

Even in the beginning he didn’t give a shit about what Cole thinks and feels, bro is acting like Cole trying to hide their relationship is just him not taking them dating seriously or smth, like bro have you forgotten you’re in a gay relationship among a homophobic society??? Vol 2 not much to discuss Cole was a shit person with the cheating and weighing options and leaving alex’s friend unanswered as a “future option”, this one can’t even really be explained or excused with the insecurity that’s a choice he made, not much to discuss cheating bad,.. but then in the end alex is shit again for using violence against him and choking him as some fucked up “everyone left me before, but I’m testing you with violence if you wouldn’t leave me even after that or not, but haha don’t worry I won’t kill you cause it’d be a waste and I’d have to date another girl who’d eventually leave me again, you’re the only fucked uo person that wouldn’t ever leave me so I’ll keep you”. . .

Vol 3 again Cole is shit for getting excited at the thought of being liked by others (cafe worker, boss etc idk) like why are u excited at the thought of someone else liking u when you got a bf of 3 years, but then again alex acts like he sees their relationship having a future but in action doesn’t act like it and asks for Cole’s opinion on this major thing when he was never intending to consider his opinion and he already made up his mind, he really acts like he’s frustrated with Cole’s inferiority complex when he’s enjoying his superiority complex

Like minus the gun stuff and cheating i honestly woudlnt blame Cole going insane at Alex’s hands, they’d both be better off broken up ToT
