That was Kageyama's (the physician) contact case. If you read Tadayoedo Shizumazu, you can get a better idea of Yashiro and Kageyama's relationship. And if you're curious about Kageyama and his lover, you can read Don't Stay Gold. The guy who's trying to kill Yashiro is a senior member of their yakuza group named Hiragi. Remember, when yakuza members drink sake from the cup together, they are linked as family. Hence the familial terms. If you recall, Hiragi is the homophobic asshole in the previous chapters.

Ah, I have only ever seen a roach once - when I was young. I screamed in horror as it crawled up my bedroom window! Can we say traumatized, here?
