I didn't read this while ongoing just because. Now it's completed, I finally got a chance to see this. Took me 3 days to read the whole thing. I even read even when I'm not busy during work hours. The story got me hooked and the characters are just memorable. The scenes are so funny too.
Most memorable side character for me is Ah Si. I can see people in the comments (including me) simping over him. And tada~ he's got his own (and you might never guess who). Wowo is the star of the entire manhua tbh. It feels like I watched him grow up since he was a small baby. Love the mains, smart and cunning Xu Cinnian x foolish but strong gang leader Qu Cheng. They will have a special place in my heart. The absolutely adorable Xiao Douding and his iconic will always be funny. And don't forget the baby queen of the family, Xiao Ai (got a bit of confusion in her name, but it was said to be confirmed as Ai).
I love how it showed scenes when Wowo and Douding was still a baby in between the current timeline scenes. It breaks the tension from the heavy scenes, plus it adds fun to the reading experience. I love how they showed the their everyday life which makes me want to become part of their family. (Do you still need a family dog? I can bark.)
