Idk why but something about the mc stands out to me maybe it's the way he acts or speaks
his speaking pattern is more assertive then typically mcs, who are portrayed to be more "weak" and stuff like that in order to be "relatable" for the reader. But i think he's more realistic when written like this, not everyone is a pushover
